• 1 6 oz can of tomato paste

The procedure for making Barbecue sauce follows that:

1. Using a 2-quart saucepan, fry the bacon until crisp.
2. Add the minced onion until it is transparent.
3. Add the garlic and stir for about 30 seconds or so.
4. Add all the remaining ingredients along with ½ cup of water.
5. Stir and allow it to simmer for 30 minutes.
6. Alter the seasonings to preferred taste.

This recipe gives just 3.5 grams of carbohydrates per serving.
